More details about Microsoft’s upcoming Surface announcements have leaked out, revealing images of what apparently are the Surface Pro 7, Surface Laptop 3, and an ARM-based Surface, with perhaps more to come. Evan Blass, whose Twitter handle is @evleaks, published what appear to be marketing materials for the upcoming Surface devices, scheduled to be unveiled at a Microsoft event on Wednesday. The published photos generally line up with what was expected, including two different sizes of the Surface Laptop 3. A Microsoft representative did not immediately respond when asked for comment. There could be a surprise, too: a dual-screen Surface, Blass tweeted. AMD released a driver update on Monday that added Radeon Image Sharpening support to its Radeon Vega-based graphics cards, including the Radeon VII . Doing so effectively ended a minor kerfuffle surrounding the new and awesome technology. Radeon Image Sharpening debuted in AMD’s excellent Radeon RX 5700 series graphics cards in July. Did AMD just drop a 12-core Ryzen CPU? It did, announcing on Monday morning its new line of 7nm Ryzen 3000 CPUs using Zen 2 cores. The highlight is the Ryzen 9 Pro 3900, which packs 12 of the company's Zen 2 cores and features a boost clock of 4.1GHz and a base clock of 3.1GHz. That's about 500MHz lower than the boost clock of the company's Ryzen 9 3900X, as well as 700MHz lower on the base clock. The difference is understandable, however, given the CPU's much lower 65-watt TDP rating. The Ryzen 7 Pro 3700 is in the middle with 8 cores, 16 threads, and a boost clock of 4.4GHz and base clock of 3.6GHz. The last Zen 2-based CPU is the Ryzen 5 3600, with 6 cores, 12 threads, a 4.2GHz boost clock, and a 3.6GHz base clock. Both are also 65-watt TDP CPUs. A cluster of digital assistants you’ve probably never heard of—plus Spotify, Amazon’s Alexa, and Microsoft’s Cortana—are part of a new initiative enabling multiple wake words on a single device, including those running Windows 10. Essentially, you’ll be able to ask a generic device for a particular service directly, such as telling Spotify to play a particular song. Today, assistants like Alexa serve as a concierge of sorts, requiring you to tell them to play a particular song using Spotify, as opposed to YouTube or some other service. In fact, the new Voice Interoperability Initiative (VII) seems tailor-made for Windows 10 19H2 , which includes the capability for multiple digital assistants to live on the lock screen. Windows 10’s Fall 2019 feature update, known colloquially as “19H2,” is moving from uncertainty to near-reality. On Tuesday Microsoft started pushing it out to the entire Release Preview ring of its Windows 10 Insider program. Microsoft first began deploying Windows 10 build 18363.385 (19H2) at the end of August  to the first, Slow ring of its Insider program , one of its three Insider rings. The company left the second Fast ring for the more substantive Spring 2020 feature update, also known as 20H1.  Microsoft traditionally prepares to release a feature update by sending it to the Release Preview ring, the third and most conservative testing ring of its Windows 10 insider program. In early September, Microsoft said that it was sending build 18363.385 to 10 percent of its Release Preview ring. The next two Windows 10 updates, code-named “19H2” and “20H1,” reflect Microsoft’s recent decision to split the major Windows 10 feature releases into two: a full-fledged update, with new features, and a secondary patch update.
